Description:

The Analytics Cloud Developer is primarily responsible for the design, development, and management of reporting and analytics solutions using Oracle technologies.

  • Report Design and Data Mapping Validation:
  • Designing Reports: Create reports that present data in a meaningful way to help businesses make informed decisions. This involves understanding the business requirements and translating these into technical specifications for reports.
  • Data Mapping Validation: Ensure that data sources are accurately mapped to the target elements in the reporting layer. This includes validating transformations and ensuring that the data flows correctly from source systems through to the reports.2. Configuring ODI ETL Load Plans
  • Setup and Maintenance of ODICS (Oracle Data Integrator Cloud Service): Configure and maintains the ETL processes using Oracle Data Integrator Cloud Service. This involves setting up load plans that determine how data is extracted from source systems, transformed to fit operational needs, and loaded into the data warehouse or other target systems.
  • Performance Optimisation: Regularly tune the ETL processes to ensure they run efficiently and within the required time frames. This might include optimising SQL queries, adjusting the execution plans, or redesigning the data workflows to minimize bottlenecks.3. Collaboration and Communication
  • Working with IT and Business Teams: Collaborate with IT staff to integrate new data sources or technologies and with business users to refine requirements or troubleshoot issues with the reporting outputs.
  • Documentation: Document the design and configuration of reports and ETL processes, including maintaining records of the data lineage and transformation logic, which is crucial for troubleshooting, compliance, and future modifications.4. Continuous Improvement
  • Keeping Updated with Technology Advances: Staying informed about the latest Oracle technologies and industry best practices to continuously improve the reporting and analytics infrastructure.
