Requirements

  • Previous relevant experience (potentially gained through placement year) and preferably with data analysis or data management background
  • Interest in or understanding of marketing strategy, and/or FMCG business/market trends
  • Applicants do not need to have a statistical background to apply, but must have strong analytical skills with an aptitude for accurately managing and interpreting data and proficient in MS Office and preferably experience of working with Circana Market Advantage or similar big-data platforms
  • Ability to demonstrate a concern for quality and accuracy in all areas of work
  • Self-motivated, accountable and committed with good decision making and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment managing multiple projects and stakeholder

Responsibilities:

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

The successful candidate will join a team of solutions delivery consultants whose core objective is to support FMCG manufacturer and retailers with their growth plans by analysing the impact of their in-store sales and marketing activity and identifying opportunities to improve performance. Recommendations are made on our client’s media, price and promotional strategies. This is achieved via insightful analysis of econometric models based on EPOS data.
As an Analytics Consultant you will work with a team of delivery consultants to support ad hoc econometric studies to Circana’s analytics clients. Your role will be involved in projects from sign-off through to the delivery of reports and results, working closely with both the local Media/Trade Effectiveness Consultant and the offshore modelling team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take their first career step into media and analytics within an insight-based consultancy department. You will play an active part in ensuring the continued growth of Circana’s Media and Analytics solutions.

THIS IS NOT A DEVELOPER OR DATA SCIENCE ROLE

Job Responsibilities
Ø Work with a Senior Analytics Consultant to develop subject matter expertise in the process and delivery of our marketing mix solutions
Ø Coordination with FMCG clients and their media agencies to gather third party data inputs
Ø Interpreting clients’ research questions into accurate project specifications detailing project objectives, project deliverables and model parameters (products, retailers, measures, attributes etc.)
Ø Apply sound logic to define comprehensive product grouping and product interaction matrices for analysis via use of Circana’s market tracking databases and Excel
Ø Take ownership of building model variables for base price, promotions and media using multiple sources of data inputs in Excel.
Ø Quality checking modelling outputs and providing feedback to the modelling team
Ø Provide an effective liaison between media and/or trade effectiveness consultant and offshore modelling consultants and data scientists (based in Greece) to facilitate the delivery process
Ø Supporting the media and/or trade effectiveness consultant in the preparation of client presentations and reports via data analysis of model outputs
Ø Attending client meetings and supporting the media and/or trade effectiveness consultant during the delivery of the results
