Um Finanzkriminalität wirksam zu bekämpfen und flexibel auf Herausforderungen zu reagieren, hat AFC eine Matrixstruktur, die regionale, geschäftsbereichsbezogene und globale Funktionen vereint. Sie teilt sich in die folgenden Kernbereiche auf: Anti-Money Laundering , Sanctions & Embargoes , Anti-Fraud, Bribery & Corruption , Investigations & Intelligence , Monitoring & Screening und Risk Assessment . Teil unseres Engagements ist es, eine enge Zusammenarbeit mit allen Geschäftsbereichen und Unterstützungsfunktionen innerhalb unserer Bank zu stärken.

YOUR COMPETENCIES AND EXPERIENCE

• You have a degree in computer science, mathematics, physics or comparable qualifications and experience
• Profound experience with data processing and integration pipelines in a big data/ETL context, using Hadoop, Apache Spark, GCP, shell scripting, test frameworks, or other components from the ecosystem
• You have at least 7 years of working experience in Python development, or similar programming languages with a focus on big data with an excellent experience in SDLC/MDLC and a sound understanding for data analytics and statistical methods
• Experience in the areas of financial crime and banking with their transaction processes
• You are a team player and have leadership experience as well as a high level of personal integrity with excellent oral and written English skills; German desirable

TEAM- AND ROLE DESCRIPTION - ANTI-FINANCIAL CRIME

The management of financial crime related risks and the implementation of valid and effective controls, processes and security measures has highest priority for Deutsche Bank. AFC Monitoring & Screening Global Platform (GP) is responsible for the implementation of the strategic Transaction Monitoring platform and the further development of the existing Transaction Monitoring and Name List Screening systems. Data is the basis for comprehensive controls and a key area for the identification of financial crime related risk.

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Within AFCs GP the “Intelligence Layer” has a focus on the application of advanced analytics to the consumed data. As Senior Data Engineer you are the gatekeeper for all data that is used within the function for analytical purposes. You are defining and building data pipelines and smart ETL processes, applying clustering and partitioning techniques on structured and unstructured data by assuring data security. For this role you should have profound experience in the areas of:

• advanced analytics and strong expertise in development of platform components
• cooperation with architects, infrastructure experts and data scientists on an international strategic framework for automated money laundering prevention - from data acquisition to automatic testing and CI/CD processes
• ability to build a holistic understanding of the bank’s existing data pipelines and data sources, with the aim to develop data and deployment pipelines and routines
• documentation of source code, platform components and run books
• support and quality assurance during the test and development phase
• willingness to support and guide other team members and setting professional execution standards
