Description:
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience in data analytics is required, with a preference for candidates who have worked in start-up or scale-up environments.
- A strong command of SQL is essential.
- Google Looker Studio is our reporting environment of choice
- Prior exposure to ETL process design and data modelling is expected.
- A good understanding of database design
- Knowledge of Python scripting is highly desirable
- Working knowledge of Javascript and Google Tag manager is highly advantageous

Responsibilities:
ABOUT THIS ROLE
This role will support growing business portfolios with Springer Healthcare that have a need to increase the quaility and scope of their analytics reporting and the technical processes that support our analytics platform. Responsibilities span from establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) for the Product teams to extracting data from core systems, executing report generation and dashboard creation.
Proficiency with various tools is expected, including SQL, Python, Google Cloud Functions, Google Analytics, Google Looker Studio and other Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services to support data extraction, transformation and loading.
The primary focus is on the data warehouse hosted in Big Query. Enhancements to data sourcing methods and meticulous data validation to ensure accuracy and accessibility are also central to this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead all stakeholders in driving a vision for how analytics services will drive the success of our medical education product portfolio
- Own the technical architecture that will provide the balance of flexibility and consistency to ensure we can provide accurate, timely, detailed tracking across all of our medical education products and services
- Design ETL processes that will deliver the core data into our data warehouse needed to build our reporting engines
- Work with developers to further the technical development of the overall data collection architecture (ETL development + Google Tag Manager development)
- Develop dashboards and funnels for product teams across the business
- Work with the software development teams building our applications to ensure application usage capture meets consistent standards and remains functional in an operational setting
- Ensure our corporate data capture policies are adhered to
