We are looking for animators able to join us in most of our global sites with start dates throughout 2024

Responsibilities:

THE ROLE

As an animator at Framestore, you’ll produce high-quality animation which creates compelling, story-driven and action-packed moments that fit within the style and pacing of the film.
To do this, you’ll work closely with the lead animator and animation supervisor, as well as the rigging and pipeline departments, to whom you’ll provide suggestions and feedback to improve character setup, visual quality, rigs and tool functionality.

But it’s not just about the artistry, you will also :

  • Respect schedules and deadlines, working effectively alone or as part of a team.
  • Communicate with the production team and supervisor regarding schedules and deadlines.
  • Train in the use of new tools, software, data and related technology.

HOW TO EXCEL IN THIS ROLE?

  • Previous experience as an animator in a studio environment
  • Thorough knowledge of Maya
  • Knowledge of movements, weights, balance, textures and shapes
  • Knowledge of rigs and typical rigging set-ups, animation processes and data transfer between tools
  • Reliability, ability to manage time well and meet deadlines, even under pressure
  • Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills within the team and with other departments.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new processes and technical skills
