Antenatal Clinic & Day Assessment Unit Manager

The post holder will understand the Health Board strategic aims and their relationship to the provision of a quality maternity service for women and their families. They will hold continuing responsibility for care within a clinical area and/or defined caseload, and ensure multi professionaland agency, team working to ensure safe standards of care.The post holder will provide professional leadership, management and advice for the multidisciplinary maternity team (MDT), including students, on a daily basis. This will ensure collaboration within the MDT to deliver high standards of care. The post holder will promote a culture of learning and development and will deliver PADRs, in line with the Health Board requirement.
The post holder, will monitor standards of performance and behaviours for all team members and work with the Maternity Matron to report disciplinary issues. The post holder will contribute to the development of policies and procedures, risk management, complaint management, health & safety, including Health Board infection prevention and control. The post holder will be a Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) registrant, and will adhere to, and perform their role within the NMC standards and meet all requirements for revalidation
