Responsibilities:
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Providing practical advice and guidance to internal clients on a broad range of contemporary human resource management issues through the interpretation of legislation, industrial instruments and/or policies etc.
- Supporting the Principal HR Officer by providing advice to staff and supervisors regarding complaint management including employee grievances, employee conduct and performance and positive performance principles.
- Producing a variety of reports from departmental systems and providing to business areas to assist in decision making including providing recommendations for best practice HR management.
- Providing advice to leaders regarding human resource issues and provide advice and guidance that balances employee and organisational interests.
- Preparing correspondence (including but not limited to letters, reports, submissions, guidelines, briefs) on a range of HR issues for internal and external stakeholders.
Essential requirements for this role:Knowledge of QLD Government directives and policies.
- HR experience within the public sector, referrably within Queensland Government.
- Extensive Human resources experience in a large multidisciplinary environment.
- Knowledge of and the ability to interpret relevant industrial Acts, Awards, and frameworks.
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills with the ability to consult with a wide range of stakeholders.
- Well-developed Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word skills.
HIGHLY DESIRABLE REQUIREMENTS TO THIS ROLE ARE:
- Human resources experience within the public sector, preferably within Queensland Government.
- Experience in workforce data analytics including PowerBi.
