Description:
AP093 FULL STACK DEVELOPER
We are looking for someone adaptable, independent, and able to hit the ground running to work with Web Development and Systems Administration teams at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
The successful candidate will primarily support the design, development, testing, and deployment of the flagship Goddard Sciences Directorate website. They will also be interested in automating processes and Infrastructure as Code.
We are using a variety of tools to support both web applications and infrastructure across the Sciences and Exploration Directorate. This is a great opportunity to work with modern technologies and development practices, and to make an impact at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center.
Responsibilities:
- Systems and Software Management: Contribute to the operation and maintenance of software systems, ensuring seamless interaction amongst team members through the use of GitLab and various collaborative tools
- Modern Web Development: Develop cutting-edge web tools to support organizational objectives, employing the latest technologies and best practices in web development
- Version Control: Proficiently maintain software using the Git version control system, including branching, merging, and conflict resolution strategies
- Technical Problem Solving: Engage in proactive troubleshooting, meticulous tracking, and effective resolution of technical issues to ensure system integrity and reliability
- CI/CD Automation Engineering: Develop and implement Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enhance the reliability and efficiency of software and system management
- Innovative Design and Prototyping: Conceptualize and prototype innovative solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness within the organization
- Interdisciplinary Support and Collaboration: Provide robust support and foster collaboration across different groups within the Sciences and Exploration Directorate by managing and deploying tools that facilitate research across various scientific disciplines
