The position
The APAC Finance Business Partner will play a critical role in providing financial leadership, guidance, and support to our business units across the APAC region. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive financial planning, analysis, and decision-making processes.
Main Responsibilities

Financial Planning & Analysis:

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes for the APAC region.
• Analyze financial performance, identify trends, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Conduct P&L management report analysis and provide actionable recommendations.

SAP System Expertise:

• Utilize experience working on SAP ECC system, preferably in SAP HANA, to manage and optimize financial processes and reporting.
• Ensure accurate and timely data extraction, analysis, and reporting from SAP systems.

Accounting & Cost Management:

• Apply knowledge of accounting and closing guidelines to ensure compliance and accuracy in financial reporting.
• Manage and control costs effectively to support business objectives and financial targets.

Project Controlling:

• Provide general knowledge and understanding of project controlling to support project financial management and analysis.
• Monitor project financial performance, identify variances, and collaborate with project teams to optimize financial outcomes.

Risk Management & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with the IFRS and applicable tax laws and regulations of Singapore and Malaysia.
• Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities within the APAC region.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity.

Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management:

• Partner with regional and local business leaders to understand their financial needs and provide proactive financial support and insights.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive business initiatives and achieve financial targets.

Financial Reporting & Analysis:

• Prepare and present monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for senior management and stakeholders.
• Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and support as required.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field. MBA or relevant professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance, with a focus on financial planning & analysis, business partnering, and stakeholder management.
• Strong experience working on SAP ECC system, preferably in SAP HANA.
• Proficiency in budgeting & forecasting, P&L management report analysis, and project controlling.
• Solid knowledge of accounting and closing guidelines, cost management, and financial regulations in Singapore and Malaysia.
• Familiarity with the IFRS and applicable tax laws and regulations.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, both verbally and in writing.
• Proactive, results-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel within the APAC region as required.
