LET’S TALK ABOUT YOUR CAPABILITY AND EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 5 years software testing experience with at least 3 years in API Test Automation
  • Proven working experience with a variety of tools that support test automation e.g. Playwright, Cypress, Rest assured, Selenium
  • Proficiency in coding with at least one programming language e.g. Java, JavaScript, Ruby, Python.
  • Experience testing UI applications across various devices and operating systems
  • Explore and identify tools which would raise levels of Test Automation
  • Understand when and what to automate
  • Experience using source control tools Git and Bitbucket
  • Thorough knowledge of the principles of functional and non-functional testing (especially Exploratory testing)
  • Working knowledge in DevOps practices - continuous integration & delivery (especially Jenkins knowledge)
  • An agile and open mind-set, able to consider new ideas and approaches to complex situations
  • Experience working in an agile environment (e.g. Scrum, Kanban)
  • Proven problem-solving abilityExcellent communication and interpersonal skills. Self-managing and a self-starter

THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE IS ADVANTAGEOUS:

  • Experience testing or developing native mobile apps
  • Previous experience in Banking Domain
  • Experience in Monitoring tools (e.g. Splunk, adobe analytics etc…)
  • UI testing of mobile applications
  • Testing in continuous integration environments
  • Experience with JIRA, Confluence
  • Experience XCUITest framework for iOS automation using Xcode IDE
  • Experience with Espresso framework for Android automation using Android Studio IDE
    Preference for New Zealand Citizens and Permanent Residents with the ability to start within a matter of weeks will be given in this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop test strategies and plans for API testing, considering project requirements and timelines
  • Ensure that APIs and applications work effectively across different devices, platforms, and browsers.
  • Assess the security of APIs and mobile apps, identifying vulnerabilities and suggesting security improvements.
  • Maintain detailed records of test results, issues, and test plans, and ensure that documentation is up to date.
