APJ Portfolio Account Manager
This role has been designed as ‘Hybrid’ with an expectation that you will work on average 2-3 days per week from an HPE office.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Portfolio Account Manager (PAM) role works with key strategic accounts to provide leadership and direction at end-of- lease and/or mid-of-lease. The PAM will negotiate and manage a value add solution with the customer to
(a) Extend the Lease
(b) Buy the Equipment
(c) Restructure the lease(s) or
(d) Refresh the Equipment.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Strong business acumen and an ability to make business decisions
  • Experience in a go-to-market role within the Leasing industry (5 + Years)
  • Understanding time value of money concept & cash flow analysis
  • Demonstrated competency in leading in a cross functional organization
  • Ability to establish business strategy and transition to organizational execution
  • Ability to work with customers to provide value add recommendations regarding optimising their IT infrastructure while maximising margin & revenue opportunities for HPFS.
  • Cross-functional teamwork, good process and program implementation skills
  • Good business judgement, and aware of common leasing commercial practices
  • Strong IT skills, particularly reporting tools (business objects), excel

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • First level university degree with a focus in business or economics; advanced degree or accounting certification (e.g., CPA, MBA) preferred.
  • Typically 6+ years of experience as a financial analyst.
  • Typically experienced in more than one finance function.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Excellent understanding of accounting principles and financial analysis, with advanced knowledge in one area.
  • Excellent analytical skills.
  • Excellent business application skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel).

Responsibilities:

JOB PURPOSE

  • Support HPEFS’s and HPE’s ‘Go to Market’ strategies for end of lease through successful negotiation and with key Customers to deliver
  • Profitability
  • Revenue
  • Customer Satisfaction/Customer Loyalty
  • Collaborate with PM & Sales Leadership to ensure key activities are being executed including portfolio account planning, strategies to achieve quota at individual and team level, routine review of key funnel opportunities
  • Work with customers to provide value add solutions to optimise their IT infrastructure
  • Develop, price & manage mid-term strategy
  • Provide expert portfolio structuring and pricing support to FAMs and PSs, and customer delivery including Master lease negotiation in relates to EOL/Mid-term terms and conditions.
  • Ensure Monthly/Quarterly business plan is achieved
  • Keep up to date with current market trends/information and update team accordingly.
  • Provide trend analysis to the Portfolio Management team on portfolio performance for key accounts and/or performance of specific product types
  • Provide an advisory role within the team by liaising with and supporting Portfolio Specialists on complex deals to ensure timely delivery of all stakeholders objectives
  • Ensure pricing consistency and audit compliance across the team
  • Understand the financial impact of key transactions and work with Finance and PM Team to minimise portfolio risk and maximise portfolio gain.
  • Continually assess the efficiency of PM processes and procedures
  • Take a lead role with Sales and CD organisations to carry our solution design and redesign activities
  • Drive customer satisfaction initiatives and improve TCE rating.
  • Assist in Asset Recovery projects where required by providing timely updates for projects which may be ARS leads.
  • Liaise with TVS organization for return product recovery – project manage large returns

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provides complex and occasionally highly complex financial analysis for a financial function or a business, typically exercising a strong understanding of the business to determine the best method for achieving objectives.
  • Consults with business leaders to guide and influence strategic decision-making within a broad scope.
  • Forecasts financial results within a broad scope.
  • Leads business initiatives, typically leading analysts across multiple sub-functions within finance.
  • Identifies opportunities for process improvement and policy development and engages in the design.
  • Represents the business unit during cross-regional or cross- functional planning processes.
  • Provides mentoring and guidance to analysts.
