Description:
The Faculty of Science and Engineering’s Teaching, Learning and Student Experience Team is looking for a passionate and highly skilled Appeals, Complaints, and Discipline (ACD) Officer to join our team in delivering high quality support, advice, and case-handling work, and coordinating activities in relation to cases to ensure consistency of approach.
You will be joining a dedicated and experienced team committed to facilitating fair, supportive, and efficient appeals, complaints, and disciplinary procedures within the University. You will be working closely alongside the Faculty Student Service, Support and Development Manager, the ACD team, and colleagues across the Faculty and University. You will effectively prioritise and manage a caseload of appeals and complaints, provide high quality support to Schools and Departments and take part in Summary Disciplinary Panels where necessary. You will also support senior colleagues in the delivery of the Faculty’s strategic priorities that will enhance the student experience.
We expect applicants to have significant experience in a similar role, which may have been gained in Higher Education or a related field. We additionally expect applicants to be sensitive to the complexity and nuance of cases the Faculty handles, and to seek to engage in continued professional development in this area.
