MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Competitive candidates will meet these minimum qualifications:
Considerable experience providing technical help desk support managing incoming calls and providing accurate / timely responses.
Considerable experience with business application systems such as the Appeals Information Management System.
Considerable experience applying specialized concepts, practices, procedures, and policies to meet customer needs and requirements.
Considerable experience analyzing, documenting, and troubleshooting system issues to implement solutions.
Considerable experience with information technology services and solutions.
Experience interpreting, applying, and analyzing federal laws, state laws, regulations, and / or policies.
Considerable experience managing competing priorities and directing the work of others to meet deadlines.
Considerable experience communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
Experience in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities:
The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is excited to offer a competitive opportunity to serve as Appeals Information Technology Specialist Lead. The selected competitive candidate will provide exceptional delivery of services to the agency’s Appeals Division.
Job responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Assist the Appeals Information Technology Manager in providing oversight of the Appeals Information Management System (AIMS) Help technical support channels (phone and email) and the Appeals mailbox (email), including providing quality real-time internal and external AIMS technical support, troubleshooting reported system issues and creating defect tickets, reviewing and validating AIMS registration requests, and providing quality assurance of AIMS letters.
Provide leadership for the Information Technology Systems Team in the Appeals Information Technology Manager’s absence, including preparing weekly reports and presenting at the weekly Leadership Team meeting, as needed. Provide guidance, technical leadership, and training to team members. Ensure compliance with Appeals Division procedures.
Provide excellent customer service, treating everyone who interacts with the Division with respect and dignity; ensure every appellant receives full due process; support a collaborative and positive work environment; and produce a quality work product.
This position reports directly to the Appeals Information Technology Manager.
