Responsibilities:

EXAMPLES OF DUTIES

Under general supervision of the Office of Information Technology (OIT), oversees and coordinates the development, implementation, maintenance, and enhancement of applications specific to the Department of Housing and Community Development. Provides vendor management, technical support, training, and guidance to agency and users. Assesses and develops recommendations for process improvements and technology solutions for the agency.

EXAMPLES OF ESSENTIAL DUTIES

  • Collaborates with agency and OIT management to develop policies, plans, and standards regarding the effective use of software applications specific to the agency.
  • Identifies and resolves application issues and system hardware malfunctions. Ex: access and connectivity issues/network issues/application issues.
  • Collaborates with IT team on any hardware or infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborates with vendors on any issues regarding hosted application. Ex: access and connectivity issues/network issues/application issues.
  • Supports hosted applications in an Azure Virtual Desktop environment.
  • Supports application management - responsible for upgrades, patches, and defects using IT system management processes.
  • Provides application and technical expertise and recommendations for product enhancements.
  • Documents and implements system configuration changes in the product.
  • Creates, maintains, and develops Crystal Reports.
  • Creates, maintains, and develops application document management standards.
  • Updates and manages application security roles.
  • Translates requirements into system processes.
  • Reviews service level agreements, and appropriately escalates unresolved issues to IT management.
  • Manages collaboration and roles and responsibilities.
  • Engages managers in product management, customer management and application management level decisions and support.
  • Creates and updates system, user, and technical documentation.
  • Utilizes third-party reporting solutions to meet the needs of the agency.
  • Modifies, develops, and customizes fields, queries and macros in the specified application.
  • Provides consultation to agency staff regarding the efficient use of software products.
  • Provides technical support, guidance, and training for the specified application.
  • Identifies and resolves system hardware and software malfunctions and tracks them in a vendor and internal OIT ticket management system.
  • Collaborates with business, technical teams and management on application processes, best use and makes quality recommendations.
  • Provides application process and technical knowledge during system process, user and issue review meetings.
