About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Analyst (Maximo) to join our Defence Delivery function reporting to the Business Systems and Infrastructure Manager. We are flexible in terms of location but will accept applications from Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
You will be responsible for assisting in the end-to-end delivery of Asset Management and Maintenance Management Systems for our Defence Delivery business using IBM Maximo. This will involve maintenance, support and enhancements to IBM Maximo systems.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with stakeholder management, user support, analysis, development, testing and production delivery coordination
  • Contributing to timely responses and recommendations on support requests and continuous improvement strategies to customer problems and queries
  • Contributing to identifying and resolving system malfunctions
  • Contributing to upgrades to system(s) including developmental and corrective maintenance
  • Developing and contributing to the definition of general specifications and support documentation
  • Adapting and configuring application software packages
  • Creating/assembling modules (application objects and components)
  • Designing and configuring test cases for integration and unit tests, performing unit tests
  • Contributing to planning and monitoring project and integration activities
  • Performing and validating solution prototyping
  • Assisting in the monitoring performance against quality assurance plans, SLAs and service continuity
  • Administering reusable software components and updating the nomenclature

About YOU

  • Experience administering and configuring IBM Maximo
  • Thorough understanding of Maximo Integration Framework and Eclipse BIRT reporting
  • Experience in Oracle Database
  • Exposure to IBM Maximo 8.0
  • Confidence in oral and written communicating, ability to build effective relationships with business representatives, customers and suppliers
  • Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships (across teams) and work with minimal supervision to resolve conflicts
  • The ability to demonstrate systems analysis skills, critical thinking and problem solving
  • Knowledge of Asset Management / Maintenance Management System concepts
  • Experience in OpenShift Containerisation and Docker
  • Experience in RedHat Linux
