Description:

POSITION SUMMARY:

Full-time position available for an experienced application analyst with primary area of responsibility in support of electronic health records systems as well as technology projects in our Applications team. This position is located in South Seattle and it is required to work on-site. We are looking for an experienced Applications Analyst to join a dynamic department supporting an extensive/primary care network.

ANALYST I QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Minimum 2 years of application support or closely related activities.
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws including HIPAA and TJC.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products.
  • Demonstrated history of working independently.
  • Demonstrated history of working effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of SDLC.
  • Vendor management experience.

ANALYST II QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 4 years medical/dental/behavior health application support or closely related applications.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience with system integration or equivalent.
  • Epic Certification in one or more modules (Ambulatory, Cadence/Prelude, Wisdom, etc.).
  • Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws including HIPAA and TJC.
  • Knowledge of client/server technology as well as LAN/WAN network concepts.
  • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office products.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated history of working independently.
  • Knowledge of SDLC.
  • Vendor management experience.

Preferred:

  • Project management experience.
  • Interface experience.
  • Demonstrated understanding of SQL and SQL reporting.
  • AD/Security group experience.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Repetitive motions of hands/wrists. Sitting for extended periods of time. Must be able to lift/move up to 50 pounds. Occasionally required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily and ongoing technical support as required by the user community: Interface between end users and vendor support to resolve application issues; provide end user assistance as required for daily functional activities; track issues and change requests; submit, manage, and track escalated issues with vendor technical support; daily monitoring of application operations.
  • As the SME, support training as required assisting with training documentation preparation as well as, on an as needed basis, conducting end user training.
  • Provide daily and ongoing technical support as required by the end user community resolving application issues, including but not limited to ticket escalation, vendor technical support, and change request.
  • Process Improvement: Install, configure, and maintain application modules in coordination with vendors and Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure. Assist with upgrades, coordinate the management of security roles and standards, migrate and convert data in coordination with vendors and other IT teams.
  • Under supervision, implement, configure, and test new product introductions.
  • Provide test scripts and procedures to ensure compliance with current standards and procedures.
  • Maintain and develop new tools to Epic. Document all modifications, enhancements, and changes to applications.
  • Maintain an active communication with application vendors for prompt response to problems and emergencies.
  • Provide after-hours (on-call) support on a rotating basis with other staff members.
  • Under supervision, install, configure, and test new product introductions.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, network and telecom administrators to identify and resolve systems issues.
  • Participate/lead internal governance meetings for change and enhancement requests.
  • Design and development of new forms/tools in Epic with the collaboration of vendor and department leaders.
    Other duties assigned as needed.
