The primary function of the Application Developer is to collaborate with other Taupārongo kaimahi (subject matter experts), to research, build and enhance software systems and applications that support Te Wānanga o Aotearoa.

• Based Anywhere in NZ – Can be fully remote within NZ

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Associate or Bachelor’s Degree of Information Technology (or equivalent required)

EXPERIENCE:

• 3+ years of experience as Application Developer, or related field, including experience in designing, building and integrating applications.
• Experience with C#, React, API Integrations and Azure
• Experienced in design, development and maintenance of software and integration platforms.
• Professional experience managing software development projects that use industry standard tools and development methodologies.
• Experience with Microservices based architecture in a multi-tiered environment.
• Experience with API design using the Microsoft development stack.
• Cloud Deployment Experience (Azure experience preferred).
• Expert knowledge and experience creating well documented and designed API services.

Āhuatanga Māori:

• Willing to participate in cultural activities and motivated to develop an understanding of Āhuatanga Māori (values, culture and tikanga)
• Understands and uses basic Te Reo Māori phrases, mihi and greetings
