Description:

SUMMARY

The Application Developer I will actively support all phases of the software development lifecycle; including but not limited to understanding and validating user requirements, developing and testing code, assist with production migrations, responding to outages, and assisting with troubleshooting and resolving issues.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  • Ability to collect information, detect patterns, brainstorm, interpret data, integrate new information, and theorize to problem solve and make decisions
  • Have an understanding of programming languages and coding skills
  • Ability to be comfortable and effective with issues that lack clarity, structure or certainty
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to document and maintain technical specifications
  • Possess a high degree of initiative

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree required Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field
  • Master’s degree preferred Master of Science in Computer Science or related field
  • One (1) year or more Software Development required

Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Works with senior developers on the design and development of applications, systems, and software on on-prem and Cloud.
  • Test the application using various testing mechanisms including Unit Testing, Integration Testing, System Testing, and Smoke Testing to ensure everything works before handing off build to the QA Team. Support defect resolution from end user and QA testing.
  • Recommend and implement software improvements to ensure strong functionality and optimization.
  • Provide support and assist with resolving Severity 1 issues and Severity 2 and 3 support tickets. Manage Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for all services.
  • Collaborate with cross functional and business teams in trouble shooting and resolving business related cases and issues.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with documentation and maintenance of design documentation; including but not limited to solution diagrams, flowcharts, checklists, migration plans, and core solution documentation for posterity.
  • Provide comprehensive support to internal customers and peers to achieve resolution to outstanding problems and/or issues.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
