What you’ll do:

  • While being highly technical and hands-on capable, you will perform development activities in support of our business applications.
  • Managing the successful delivery of projects following the System Development Lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Working closely with fellow Developers and Software Architects, will require continuous learning and improvement, to ensure deployment of solutions that meet software development best practices, standards and guidelines.
  • Solid technical skills and positive influence will ensure you can lead and assist other developers with system design, coding practices, unit tests and proper deployment methods.

What you need:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s Degree or completion of a Computer Science Program from a Technical Trade School preferred.

Intermediate or advanced level positions require the following:

  • Minimum of two years of experience in application development, with a thorough knowledge of at least one programming language, is required.

Bonus if you have:

  • Proven experience in the delivery of high quality solutions utilizing the Microsoft .Net framework (C#/VB/ASP) and associated technologies including: WPF, MVC, HTML5, CSSS, JavaScript, jQuery, RDLC, NuGet, WinForms, SQL (DB2, MSSQL), SQL Server Management Studio, SSRS, SSIS, IIS, GitLab, XML, JSON, Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access, Visio, PowerShell Nice to have: Adobe Acrobat Pro, Adobe LiveCycle Designer, Crystal, Cognos, use of media queries and adaptive design, Rally, QAComplete
  • Participate in code review discussions and providing technical guidance to development teams. Ability to work collaboratively with architecture staff to establish and support coding standards and guidelines.
  • Superior analytical and deductive reasoning skills along with the ability to make decisions independently or with minimal direction.
  • Ability to foster a continuous learning environment by engaging in activities that grow technical and leadership skills, both personally and across teams. Training in PMP and Agile is a plus.
  • Health care experience preferred.

Compensation:
BCBSKS Grade: Exempt grade 15
Minimum salary $77,840
Salary determined based on education, skills and experience.
