Responsibilities:

• Sales-supporting technical application advice for internal and external customers in the area of valves/fittings at an international level, across market segments and in the event of complaints
• Solving customer-specific problems with the help of existing products or, if necessary, initiating new developments by preparing development applications
• Continuously updating the specialist product range in line with market requirements, in coordination with Product Portfolio Management and the business units
• Developing qualified product benefit arguments for technical and application-related support
• Continuous, worldwide market observation and evaluation of OEMs with regard to technological trends, product requirements and competitive activities
• Active international OEM processing in cooperation with the subsidiaries to obtain approvals

Qualifications:

• Successfully completed university studies (diploma or master’s degree from a university or technical college), specializing in mechanical engineering or industrial engineering or similar
• Ideal: Knowledge and experience in the field of valves, fittings and tribology
• Enthusiasm for challenging tribological issues
• Several years of experience in product management or marketing in relevant industrial sectors
• Enjoy dealing with customers; proactive, structured and independent way of working
• Enjoy regular business trips (travel approx. 20%), enjoy international and intercultural communication as well as interdisciplinary cooperation with other departments in the company
• Entrepreneurial personality with a professional, customer-oriented attitude, determined, persistent and business fluent as well as cooperative and persuasive
• Very good command of written and spoken English; ideally: good command of written and spoken German
