Application Infrastructure Engineer

Job Purpose:
Design infrastructure architecture for deploying applications in Sandoz environment and support infrastructure changes to meet application requirements.

Major Accountabilities:

• Primary point of contact for Application and Infrastructure teams for infrastructure architecture related activities (Design, Upgrades, Changes etc.).
• Support application assessment and classification to ensure business requirements are mapped correctly (eHLCCD).
• Translate non-functional requirements (NFRs) into infrastructure component design.
• Perform infrastructure sizing to meet performance, capacity and growth requirements.
• Create As-Is and To-Be Infrastructure Architecture Design (high-level and low level) documents.
• Review, validate and approve infrastructure design changes.
• Support application migration and upgrade strategies and execution.
• Assist in triaging and troubleshooting high priority incidents.
• Ensure Sandoz technology standards and versions are taken into consideration while selecting application solutions.

Role Requirements :
Education:
University degree in Computer Science or comparable education
Languages:
Fluent English written and spoken
Experience and Skills:
10+ years of experience in private cloud hosting technologies (VMware, Nutanix, CommVault, NetApp, F5 etc.).
Expertise in defining deployment patterns for Operating Systems and Databases
Experience in designing infrastructure for data protection and resiliency (HA/DR)
Knowledge of network services (switching, routing, load balancing, firewalls, DNS, etc.)
Knowledge of security services (IAM, SIEM, SOC, VA/PT, etc.)
Experience in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Experience in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.
More than 10 years of experience in Architecture or Engineering services
