Responsibilities:
You will be responsible for the product line of microimaging and diffusion, i.e., vertical bore magnets equipped with single or triple axis high power gradients for measuring molecular diffusion and/or high-resolution imaging of small samples or specimens. The position will be based in Ettlingen, Germany, and will focus on supporting customers globally, developing new applications, training customers and attending conferences.

Job details:

  • The candidate provides sales presentations, product demonstrations, installations, and maintenance of company products.
  • Builds applications based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, requires the ability to modify and write NMR pulse programs in Topspin and Paravision.
  • Performs analysis of customer samples
  • Trains new and existing customers and provides customer support.
  • Leads development projects and customer cooperations.
  • Initiates and supports the future development of our product portfolio.
  • Willing to travel up to 25%.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in the following areas is a prerequisite for this position: Physics, Chemistry, or Engineering.
  • Practical experience MR Microscopy and/or High-Power Diffusion as well as knowledge of theoretical principles.
  • The core competency of an Applications Scientist is NMR Imaging and/or Diffusion. S/he needs to be familiar with various aspects of this technique. In this function, the Applications Scientist will focus on one or more of the specialties but must stay informed on developments in other areas of the field.
  • Technical background/basic knowledge in electronics as well as C-Programming skills is a plus.
  • English language proficiency and experience in technical writing is required.
