POSITION DESCRIPTION:

Bruker BioSpin currently seeks a Nuclear Molecular Imaging (NMI) Applications Scientist to join the Pre-Clinical Imaging (PCI) Division based in our German location. This is a new opportunity for an Imaging Scientist with in-vivo imaging experience involving procedures working with small rodents, specifically in the area of NMI. We are located in Ettlingen, in attractive surroundings close to the Rhine river and the Black Forest.
Responsibilities:
As a member of our international application team, you will interact with our customers and leading experts in the field. The position also requires a close co-operation with internal colleagues for example of the integration, soft- and hardware departments.

The tasks include:

  • Demonstration of our preclinical imaging systems, in particular NMI.
  • Creating protocols and optimizing workflows.
  • Customer training worldwide (with a focus on Europe).
  • Customer teaching (in-house, webinars).
  • Sales and after sales support (e.g. customer hotline, customer visits).
  • Support of system integration and validation.
  • Creation of user documentation and training material.
  • Marketing support (marketing materials, lectures, and data preparation).
  • Assist in trade shows and conferences worldwide.
  • Working with small rodents and nuclear molecular imaging tracers.

Qualifications:

  • M.S. or Ph.D. in the following areas is a prerequisite for this position. Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physics, Molecular Biology, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biology or related.
  • At least 3 years’ direct experience in a small animal imaging laboratory and/or in a company providing small animal imaging equipment. Experience with preclinical imaging equipment is expected, preferably with NMI imaging systems.
  • Very good command of spoken and written English.
  • Being able and having fun to communicate on eyes level with scientists, which requires excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
  • Personal strengths should include flexibility and customer focus, and solution and team-oriented working attitude.
  • Advanced MS Office Suite proficiency.
  • Knowledge of the Bruker software solutions for our NMI systems is a plus.
  • „Fachkunde im Strahlenschutz“ and willingness to work as Strahlenschutz-beauftragter is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel worldwide.
