Our client is a global ISV company operating on the forefronts of technology using the latest low latency trading technologies to work with clients ranging from financial institutions to hedge funds to proprietary trading groups .
Our client is looking for an synergetic Application Support Analyst who has previous experience working in derivatives exchanges, Linux operating systems, and supporting L1 - L3 issues . The team is very dynamic and love to collaborate with each other, so they are looking for a capable individual who is happy to learn and help with tasks outside the work scope.
YOUR ABILITIES:
- Have a Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical degree.
- Experience with, or knowledge of, Linux OS and Linux-based server applications , using Linux command line tools such as grep, sed and awk .
- Be able to perform complex log file analysis, allowing you to identify the root cause of issues.
- You may have previous experience supporting applications that connect to any of the major global derivatives exchanges such as CME, EUREX, SGX or OSE .
- Be familiar with various exchange protocols such as OmNet, ITCH/OUCH and FIX.

Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to support requests and enquiries from clients.
- Actively monitor and respond to alerts for critical systems and infrastructure.
- Support customers and resolve issues related to order entry, risk management, and exchange connectivity.
- Work directly with new customers to coordinate the deployment and configuration of the company’s products.
- Work directly with various exchanges and the software engineers to test and conform new software releases.
- Work with the infrastructure team to test and complete various server and network upgrade projects.
