Responsibilities:

ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Collins Digital Technology International Team is currently searching for an experienced System Administrator with a background and expertise within Applications.
In this role, you will be in charge to lead or take part of Int’l application deployment projects, being the focal point of International sites, you represent, ensuring smooth delivery & operation.
Your broad technical skills will allow you to operate locally hosted applications, making sure support is provided within SLA and applications are kept up to date and compliant.
You will speak to all internal stakeholders involved in the applications landscape: application owner, infrastructure, end user support & cyber. You will be configuring and managing Engineering and Manufacturing applications. Support day-to-day operations and maintenance.
Perform specific tasks including provisioning, troubleshooting, and some automation and scripting. Perform Trend analysis, identify top few incidents and work with respective teams/individual to minimize the incidents.
Plan and schedule Changes, Coordinating with different stakeholders. You will also need a solid understanding of DT enterprise systems (hardware, software, storage, backup and networks).
Provide technical subject matter expertise wherever required.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing medium size International Engineering and Manufacturing Application deployment projects
  • Technical focal point for Large Int’l Engineering & Manufacturing Applications projects
  • Installation, administration, maintenance & troubleshooting of PLM/MES/ALM type of applications hosted on various operating systems
  • Provide support for various legacy applications
  • Perform hardening, security scanning, log management, patching and securing of applications following change request process
  • Manage daily operations as per incident management process
  • Mentors junior application administrators and recommends design changes to improve the operability
