JOB SUMMARY

Reporting to the Director of Sales, Applications Engineer is responsible to support the sales department by conducting rigorous feasibility studies of proposed sales projects, evaluating projects against our existing portfolio, price book, and our engineering, manufacturing, and purchasing capabilities to determine the viability and profitability of a project. Among other responsibilities, the Applications Engineer will revise and update our product-line portfolio, revise and update our price book, review engineering layout requests, conduct 3rd party research, and conduct risk assessments.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing a comprehensive understanding of our products and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Support customers and the sales team by assessing what applications to quote or decline by conducting technical studies, performing tests, confirming capabilities, preparing line layouts, and conducting risk assessments and cost benefit analyses.
  • Contributing to our business development goals by developing innovative concepts for special and custom machines.
  • Coordinating all project kickoff related activities.
  • Revising and updating all relevant data, including product line portfolios, price books, FAT results databases, etc.
  • Conducting product demonstrations, prepare, and deliver technical presentations, and address customer inquiries to showcase the value and benefits of our solutions.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, production, and project management to provide feedback on product performance, identify areas for improvement, and contribute to the development of new features or enhancements.
