Description:
ABOUT US
Part of the Joint Services Division, Parliament of South Australia, the Parliamentary Network Support Group (PNSG) is a dedicated team providing an extensive range of information and communication services to the Parliament of South Australia and Electorate Offices, including network management, computing services, and support for core Parliamentary applications and collaboration services.
This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of a function that supports the Parliament of South Australia and play a valued role in ensuring the day-to-day operations of Parliament House are undertaken securely and without interruption, supported by modern and innovative technology solutions.
WHAT WE OFFER
We are an apolitical organisation. This means we provide equal and unbiased support to all elected parliamentarians, their staff and the staff of the parliament. We play a key role in ensuring the operation of technology that supports the Parliament of South Australia in making the laws that govern our State.
Our workplace is close to public transport, the city centre, the northern parklands and the River Torrens. Our buildings are grand and steeped in history, spanning three distinct eras of our state, 1843, 1889 and 1939.
The PNSG team are supportive and collaborative. We provide time for training and will reimburse successful completion of certifications and exams. We aim to work 37.5 hours per week, from the office but also from home where required. Overtime is payable for out of hours work in addition to the salary. We offer favourable superannuation (Triple S) in addition to the salary and flexible, family supportive working arrangements.
You will be involved with a dynamic high-performing technical team, with cyber security as a focus, providing opportunity to make a real impact on our business operations. If you have the experience and expertise we’re looking for, we encourage you to apply for this exciting, hands-on opportunity.
Responsibilities:
The role sits within the PNSG Business Systems team and works under limited direction to undertake a range of complex and/or time sensitive technical activities for the Parliament of South Australia including the planning, design, development, testing, implementation, and support of numerous systems and applications servicing Parliament House and Electorate Offices across the State, and may require a significant level of responsibility at times.
The incumbent will need to take a collaborative and team-first approach and develop and maintain effective consultative and collaborative relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders and service providers.
This is a trusted role and is required to undertake duties, such as managing confidential and sensitive electorate data, requiring an elevated security clearance to Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) Negative Vetting Level 1.
