Description:

The post holder will provide a high level of administrative support to the Breast Imaging Department. There is a requirement to exchange verbal and written information with patients, staff and carers, requiring tact and diplomacy. The post-holder would create appointments and monitor pathways accordingly from referral to results. They would work closely with the Junior Operational Service Manager, MDT Co-ordinators, and using their knowledge and experience support the Band 2 Admin Team. There is a rotation of tasks specific for the role to ensure all aspects of the role are covered in times of annual leave or sickness.
The post holder will be expected to work at County Hospital and Royal Stoke Hospital.
The Breast Imaging Department is within the Imaging Directorate in University Hospital of North Midlands.
The Department is responsible for providing the North Midlands Breast Screening Service in accordance with the National Breast Screening Programme.
The Department is also responsible for the Breast Symptomatic Service including supporting the 2ww symptomatic clinics, and all Breast Intervention, and further surveillance clinics.
