Apprentice Automotive Technician

401 Dixie Hyundai is looking for an Automotive Apprentice Technician to join our growing team! We strive to provide the best customer service & top-notch repair/maintenance work. You will play a crucial customer experience role by servicing customer vehicles.

YOUR CAPABILITIES AND CREDENTIALS

• Third or Fourth year Automotive Apprentice
• Oil change & tire experience is an asset
• Basic computer skills
• Shop / dealership experience preferred
• Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and ability to use power and hand-held equipment
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and a safe driving history

• Perform oil & filter changes
• Sell lubrication, safety inspection, & related services
• Perform complete multi-point inspection on vehicles. Mark required items on list & present findings to Service Advisor
• Mount/balance/rotate/repair tires & add air as needed
• Perform diagnostics, repairs, & maintenance
• Inspect hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, & other items
• Inspect motors in operation, road test, & test systems & components using computerized diagnostics & other devices to diagnose & isolate faults
• Adjust, repair, or replace parts & components including fuel system, brakes, steering & suspension, engine & drive train, emission control & exhaust, cooling & climate control, & electrical & electronic systems
