    About the Role
    Due to continued growth of the business, we are seeking a 3rd or 4th year Diesel Fitter or Heavy Diesel Mechanic Apprentice to join Contract Resources Lytton Workshop. For this role, we are looking for a candidate who has exposure to either HD Fitting, Truck Mechanic, Fitter/ Machinist, Motor Mechanic, Earthmoving Mechanic. This position is located predominantly out of our Lytton Workshop with some site travel required from time to time. Working on Heavy transport, wet ring & dry vacuum pumps, HPW unit, Breather air apparatus, pumps and other specialists catalyst handing equipment.

Duties will include but not limited to

  • Carry out general servicing.
  • Fault & diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic systems.
  • Carry out engine & drivetrain repairs.
  • Record and repair defects on fleet equipment.
  • Identify parts required for ordering.
  • Identify scopes of work required for repairing equipment
  • Test and adjusts components after being installed or repaired to check performance and that specific requirements have been met.
  • Testing and commissioning of new machines.
  • Pre & post Project checks of machines / equipment.
  • Assist stakeholders with technical enquiries.
  • Carry out mechanical inspections in accordance with manufacturers requirements.

Requirements & Experience Needed

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Fitter/Heavy Diesel Mechanical Apprentice
  • Breathing Apparatus certificate (desirable).
  • Gas Test Atmosphere (desirable).
  • Current HR Driver’s License (essential).
  • High-Risk Work License – Forklift (essential).
  • Full Australian work rights.
