Description:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Apprentice to join our dynamic technical operations team, which strives to provide sector-leading technical support for FSE and the wider University. The primary purpose of this Apprentice Education Technician role is:
- Working under the direction of your line manager, senior technical colleagues and key academics, the primary focus of this role will be to provide technical support for staff and students within the University.
- To assist with maintenance of specialist laboratory and workshop equipment, general housekeeping, preparation of reagents, and ensuring all health and safety procedures and protocols are followed.
- Requisitioning of consumables and other items for laboratory/workshop use, and maintenance of adequate stock levels of consumables.
- Assist with the setting up of practical laboratory and workshop classes when required
