We are looking for a Apprentice Engineer - Generator & Switchgear Services in Bedford.

What You’ll Do:

  • To complete any training, either internally or externally delivered in a timely and professional manner.
  • To assist Vertiv Engineer with their standard service activity’s including load bank & building load test proving, major & minor diesel servicing.
  • To assist Vertiv Engineer with carrying out contract maintenance and inspection on a planned basis to Vertiv standards.
  • To assist Vertiv Engineer in fault finding and rectification in both Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
  • To assist Vertiv Engineer with the installation of temporary generating plant.
  • To assist Vertiv Engineer with the commissioning of generator installations.
  • To assist Vertiv Engineer to identify opportunities for extra works (SQD) & recommendations.
  • To assist Vertiv Engineer to carry out remedial work to contract customers ether planned repairs or as part of a call out facility.
  • To comply with all Company Health and Safety Requirements.To ensure that any activity, task and responsibility required by role in terms of the International Trade Compliance Regulation is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company ITC certification program itself.
