Description:

OVERVIEW

  • A dynamic and enthusiastic individual is required to carry out routine maintenance on equipment under the direction of the Equipment Technicians and Equipment Engineer.

Training towards;

  • Carry out routine maintenance on equipment under the direction of the Equipment Engineer.
  • Support fault-finding and repair work during and post equipment breakdown.
  • Carry out equipment reconfigurations as defined by the Equipment Engineer
  • Maintain tool tracking system, reports and stock relevant for all equipment.
  • Assist with the installation, commissioning, upgrades and decommissioning of all equipment.
  • A Multi-Skilled Technician able to Support Production requirements and Operators in a team environment.
  • Initially working on a Day Shift then going onto Shift System as required.
  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety and Security requirements and programs

QUALIFICATIONS AND TRAINING

  • Ideal candidate will already be studying a maintenance engineering related degree ideally mechactronics or be willing to study.
  • GCSE Grade “C” or equivalent in English, Maths, IT and a Science subject.
  • Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.)

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • An interest in engineering.
  • A strong understanding of electronics and its core principles.
  • A strong ability to solve technical problems with many different variables.
  • A strong ability to work to tight deadlines and progress multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and part of a team.
  • Enthusiasm

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out Routine Maintenance activities (e.g. Consumable Replacements, Hardware Changes, Module strip down, cleaning and rebuilds).
  • Perform Tool checks (e.g. facilities, Settings and Counts) and make the necessary pro-active adjustments.
  • Support equipment faults and breakdowns by assisting with the trouble shooting under the direction of an engineer.
  • Monitor and Control Parts and Consumables related to tool activities, including off-site / external requirements.
  • Maintain Records and any Documentation in relation to tool activities.
