We are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive apprentice software developer to join our dynamic technical operations team, which strives to provide sector-leading technical support for the University. With a commitment to customer service excellence and a passion for science and engineering, the technician will provide an agile technical support service to staff and students to support teaching- and research. • Working closely with staff in the university to ensure the effective maintenance, security and reliability of specialist computer software and hardware systems for research and teaching.
• Supporting academic staff and students using specialist hardware or software systems, including training users where appropriate.
• Working with academic and research leads to design and futureproof IT requirements and liaising with IT Services and Research IT as appropriate.
