Apprentice Structural Surveying Technician

If you have an interest in construction and engineering and an ambition to start your career in Building Surveying/Structural Engineering then join us for an apprenticeship.
The Leicester Structures team is currently looking for an enthusiastic and driven individual, who may be a school leaver (or will be completing school education in Spring/Summer 2024), looking to start their career in the construction industry as an Apprentice Building Surveying or Structural Technician. This exciting role would give you the opportunity to learn and earn as we support you in developing your technical knowledge and drawing ability.
- Develop knowledge in building surveying, structural design and detailing under the support of Technicians, Building Surveyors and Structural Engineers within our Structural Engineering team.
- Assist with site inspections with our senior surveyors and engineers to gain knowledge of different building construction forms and details.
- Manage procurement of site data and archive material.
- Learn to prepare drawings and structural reports.
- Carry out general administration and issuing of drawings.
- Check drawings/schedules prepared by others.
It is anticipated that you will be looking to attend a suitable apprenticeship at a local college or university in either a building surveying or structural engineering degree, likely starting in Autumn 2024. This would be on a paid day release basis. You will also benefit from the coaching and guidance of our experienced Building Surveyors and Structural Engineers.
