Description:

Working closely with the ward sister to provide reliable clerical service to the Children’s ward .
Working alongside staff to ensure the smooth running of the unit.
This vacancy is being advertised as an apprenticeship and as such the salary for the role if reflective of this. Those who currently hold and can evidence the essential qualifications need not apply. Your application will not be shortlisted if you hold the essential qualification(s).
Although English and Maths at level 2 is not required for the role, it is a requirement to complete the apprenticeship and need to be in place by the end of the apprenticeship. If you do not hold or cannot evidence English and Maths at level 2 then support will be provided for the successful applicant(s) as part of the Trust’s apprenticeship offer. *
Clerical duties on the children’s ward including ensuring in the absence of the housekeeper equipment is in good working order and that stores are ordered promptly, and escalating any issues to estates were necessary.

Good knowledge of I.T , experience of millennium are desirable and excellent verbal and communication skills . Ability to prioritise workload.
If successful in this role, there is a requirement for you to have a standard DBS. This will be paid for by the Trust and then deducted from your salary over a period of 3 month.
As this vacancy is within the division of Women’s and Children’s, there is a mandatory requirement for successful applicants to join the DBS update service. The cost of joining the update service is £13 per year, and applicants are liable to cover this cost with no reimbursement from the Trust. Further details of how to join the update service will be provided upon appointment
