JOB DESCRIPTION

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor’s degree (technical engineering, engineering, sciences, or related field).
1-2 years in a semiconductor process and/or equipment environment.
Hands-on experience with DualBeam, FIB, SEM, or similar semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
Experience in a research environment using small and/or wafer DualBeam technology.
Experience using Machine Learning to build predictive models of features within a set of images is desirable.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES

  • Knowledge of technology diagnostics as well as troubleshooting techniques, operational optimization, and experience of analytical equipment; specifically, electron/ion microscopes.
  • Clear interpersonal skills, both written and verbal targeted for a diverse audience is essential to success in this role.
  • Excellent customer interfacing skills.
  • Ability to work well with multi-functional and cross-cultural teams.
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 25%; possession of a valid passport is required.

Responsibilities:

Characterize/develop new applications to automate Thermo Fisher wafer dual beam microscope functionality for semiconductor customers.
Automate applications using tools such as AutoTEM/iFast/Python/Machine Learning.
Conduct customer training and communicate customer needs to product development groups.
Act as a customer interface for specific instrument/applications issues, understand customer workflow needs, and assisting them in applications development.
Provide customer support and applications training after instrument installation.
Support product groups on system performance, features, and potential problems while collaborating with marketing/development groups on future product developments.
