REQUIREMENTS
Licensure / Certification / Registration:
- BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date.
- Certified Advanced Practice Advanced Practice Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
- Drug Enforcement Admin credentialed from the Drug Enforcement Administration preferred.
Education:
- Master’s degree of Nursing required.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Ascension St. Vincent’s is looking for a PRN Nurse Practitioner to join our Occupational Health team in Lincoln, AL.
This is a great opportunity for the right candidate to provide medical services to patients at Ascension St. Vincent’s Occupational Health Clinic in Lincoln, AL.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
In collaboration with a physician, provide for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions.
- Obtain patient history and perform assessment via observation, interview and examination. Order, perform and interpret diagnostic studies. Perform preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.
- Provide direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.
- Counsel and educate patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.
- Document delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy.
- Coordinate care with physicians, physical therapists, and other healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Participate in the development and implementation of wellness programs and initiatives to promote employee health and well-being.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards related to occupational health and safety.
