The Library is seeking to fill the role of Senior Technician Photography (APS 5) on a non-ongoing basis from 15 July 2024 until 9 June 2025.
Responsibilities:
The Senior Technician Photography role is required to undertake work that requires skills, knowledge and experience in the field of photography and related areas of imagery creation and production. This work is specialised in nature and is undertaken with limited direction.
Duties include:
- Photographic capture of the Library’s collection material over various formats, including pictures, manuscripts, negatives, books and journals and undertake quality assurance of digitised images.
- Assisting the Imaging Team Leader with the development and management of photography related production projects and requests.
- Communicating with Trove Community Services and Digitisation Team members in relation to photography and imaging related tasks, project or issues.
- Responding to more complex imaging and photography enquiries and providing excellent customer service.
- Providing advice and assistance to the Imaging Team Leader in relation to complex or sensitive issues relating to imaging or photography technical matters.
- In consultation with the Imaging Team Leader, undertaking photography requests from Library work areas as required.
