THE POSITION
The Hydrological Analysis (HA) team are looking for MDBA employees who are interested in testing their skills to become a water resources modeller.
The HA Branch undertakes a range of modelling projects related to water resources management, including:
- model development and programming,
- hydrological/hydraulic modelling to assess impacts of different policy and/or operation rule changes,
- hydrologic analysis of river and wetland systems in the Basin, and
- supporting daily operations of the River Murray System.
The team has a role in providing technical advice to governments on water resource planning, Basin Plan implementation, and managing environmental water. The HA team also works closely with the Integrated River Modelling Uplift (IRMU) Program, which was initiated to upgrade modelling capability across the Murray-Darling Basin.
