Our client is seeking to engage an APS4/5 Secretariat Support Officer.
Location: Canberra, ACT
Contract Length: Start – 01/06/2024, End – 31/03/2025
Eligibility/Security Requirement: Applicants Must hold a baseline clearance or higher

OVERVIEW:

The Department strives to encourage the sustainable growth of Australian industries including the delivery of a national innovation system to drive knowledge creation, international competitiveness, and greater productivity.
The Chief Information Officer Division (CIOD) provides a range of ICT related services to the department and to Australian businesses and are seeking a dependable, positive, flexible, team player who works well under pressure and likes to have fun at work! Please note there is no requirement to have ICT experience.
We are very interested in hearing from candidates with policy and program experience who demonstrate strong communication, organization, secretariat, and stakeholder engagement skills.

Candidates will demonstrate the following capabilities:

You will provide support to six divisional committees, and operational governance authorities. Tasks include:

  • Managing meeting schedules
  • Collating and reviewing agendas and meeting papers
  • Supporting the chair at meetings
  • Capturing minutes and managing action items
  • Tracking progress of work items
  • Reporting on progress of items and updating records

You will also support the division’s Executive team by:

  • Managing the division’s participation in various departmental and whole-of-government committees/groups by keeping track of meeting agendas, minutes, and action items.

You will support the Division and Strategic Support team by:

  • Managing the process for all-staff meeting and nominations for divisional awards
  • Provide support to the Coordination and Workforce Strategy functions of the team, as required.
  • Any ad-hoc requests or administrative support, as required.
