On behalf of a large Federal Government Agency, we are looking for APS4 Fraud Intelligence Support officer to join the Fraud Intelligence and Investigations team on a 12-month assignment. This role is based in Brisbane and will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, paying $43.82 per hour plus super.
Responsibilities:
YOUR NEW ROLE
The role will be required to provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in fraud and compliance areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities. Responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to:
- Reviewing and auditing participant and provider data from multiple sources, assessing inconsistencies and ensuring correct services and payments are delivered in line with legislation and policies.
- Assessing and treating the risk of non-compliance by participants and providers, including misuse of funds and self-managed participants claiming for supports that are not reasonable and necessary.
- Escalating information and more complex cases to relevant teams for remediation in accordance with legislation, policies and functional responsibilities.
- Making decisions on fraud intelligence activity outcomes based on policies and legislation, under the support and general direction of senior staff.
- Using a range of analytical tools and databases, collecting, collating and maintaining data records.
