WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

Our ideal candidate is familiar with, or interested in, contemporary media and technology, including films and computer games. They will demonstrate good judgement, a positive attitude, resourcefulness and initiative in delivering results.

We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:

  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present information to a variety of audiences that is clear, concise and readily understood
  • Strong experience in team leadership and/or customer service roles, including working collaboratively with different stakeholders to achieve desired outcomes
  • Effective organisational skills with a proven ability to take responsibility, meet deadlines and deliver results
  • An enthusiastic attitude and ability to quickly develop relevant skills and knowledge.

While not essential, we will look favourably upon skills and experience with using Dynamics 365 (D365).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS

Employment with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts is subject to conditions prescribed within the Public Service Act 1999 including:

  • Citizenship: To be eligible for employment with the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts applicants must be an Australian citizen.
  • Health Assessment: The preferred applicant may be required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the department’s preferred medical provider.
  • Security Clearance: The successful candidate must be able to obtain and/or maintain a security clearance at Baseline Level. You must be willing to disclose all relevant and required information. You must have lived in Australia, or have a checkable background, for at least the preceding five years for Baseline Vetting clearances. More information on the security clearance vetting process is available on the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency (AGSVA) website.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the Assistant Director and Deputy Director of the Board with planning and allocation of daily workflows between the Client Services Team and Board
  • Processing complex applications and enquiries about the classification of films, computer games and publications by the Boards via phone and email
  • Preparing draft information products for industry and the public, including fact sheets and updates to website content
  • Identifying and supporting implementation of process improvements within the work area
  • Responding to written and oral enquiries about the National Classification Scheme
  • Undertaking administrative support or operational tasks as require
