Aqua feed process technology - Innovation Scientist / Engineer
Execution of development, research, and operational projects within process technology
Do you have an interest in innovative process technology projects where you are part of developing the next generation of fish feed, looking into functional feed/food ingredients and technologies.
We are looking to hire a new colleague to our Process Innovation Team which is located together with our process innovation laboratory and state-of-the-art pilot plant facilities in Denmark.
The position will focus on development of new feed types and applications,
ingredient science and process technology knowledge. In this position you will join a skilled international team in a company where innovation and
sustainability are at the heart of everything we do.
BioMar Process Innovation Unit department
BioMar’s Process Innovation Technology Centre includes a fully equipped lab and pilot facility with a wide range of feed processing equipment designed to test new technologies, produce experimental aqua feeds, and test new ingredients, concepts, and products. Our experienced Process Innovation Team is dedicated and passionate about delivering the very best research and development work for the aquaculture feed of the future.
You will work in Brande, Denmark, but will be in close contact with our global process colleagues located at our factories across the globe. Travelling activity up to 40 days/year can be expected. The position requires feed/food technology experience combined with a scientific project approach where communication to stakeholders is the key to success. The primary tasks will include:
- Planning and execution of R&D projects related to applied science and process technology
- Pilot plant testing, scale-up and full-scale validation of new technologies and functional ingredients
- Process modelling, data analysis and statistical trial design
- Method development to evaluate product and ingredient characteristics
- Support implementation of process innovations and R&D output at our factories
You are a team player and have experience within feed or food technology
As a person you are a team player, who likes to cooperate and be around other people. Ideally, you will have a master’s degree (or equivalent) in process technology, food science or biotechnological engineering combined with min. 3-5 years of work experience. We value:
- Enjoys frontend innovative environment where new ideas are created and tested
- Strong presentation and communication skills – stakeholder focus
- Structured and analytical working routines and having a good overview
- Experience in applied science and food/feed ingredients
- Process technology – fish feed/pet food/food technology
- Experience from feed/food operations or extrusion experience is an advantage
