FULL JOB DESCRIPTION

Position Title: Arborist Manager
Main Functions: Obtain jobs for the Arborist division and oversee work being done by employees within department
Reports to: Owner, Operations Manager

EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS:

• Hold an ISA Certified Arborist Certificate or be equally as knowledgeable
• Strong ability to sell
• Professional attitude towards staff and customers
• Capable of balancing multiple tasks
• Understanding of budgeting and cost analysis
• Strong communication skills
• Previous work experience with trees
  Job Type: Full-time / Seasonal (year round work available, discuss with Interviewer)
  Salary: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year

• Examine trees and shrubs to diagnose problems and diseases
• Meet customers daily and provide bids and estimates for any jobs pertaining to tree work
• Promote sales to existing clients
• Identify and solicit potential clients
• Supervise and co-ordinate the activities and duties of the tree crew laborers and arborists/tree crew foreman’s
• Oversee training of workers in job duties and company policies
• Enforce safety standards and implement disciplinary action upon uncooperative employees
• Set annual financial targets for department
• Review each job for quality of work and profitability
• Monitor department spending and equipment purchasing
• Work with landscape project manager at times to coordinate jobs being done on same site
• Develop and implement marketing plans
• Measure success of various marketing strategies
• Resolve work related problems within division
