Description:

Our Estates team is dedicated to strategic asset management, business continuity, security, and estates development and management. With a £400 million investment plan, we are committed to enhancing our campus and making a positive impact on our city.
About the role:
This is a 12-month fixed-term role, with the potential for a further 12-month extension, ideal for a RIBA Part 1 student seeking a placement year.
Are you a high-caliber Architecture student eager to gain practical experience in architecture and project management within a business environment? This is a fantastic opportunity to develop new skills while contributing to the success of our University campus.

Do you want a top-tier experience with support from a multidisciplinary team? For the right candidate, we offer the chance to deliver various refurbishment and renovation projects, alongside installations of specialist teaching and research equipment. You will have the opportunity to:

  • Support colleagues in designing and project managing works.
  • Monitor project cash flow.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
  • Provide design and drawing support.

You should have strong design skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive attitude. We seek candidates who are enthusiastic about supporting our team’s momentum and contributing to our collaborative ethos.
Based in central Manchester, you will enjoy a generous annual leave allowance (25 days pro rata, plus Christmas Closure, plus Bank Holidays), a fantastic pension scheme, access to retail discounts and an Employee Assistance Program, a cycle-to-work scheme, and many more rewards and benefits.
