KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • 2-6 years of experience as architectural designer/drafter.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience using Autodesk Revit.
  • Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously with understanding of architectural detailing and code knowledge.
  • Proficiency in Adobe In-design.
  • Strong organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to be flexible with changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Sitting (or driving) in a normal seated position for extended periods of time.
  • Reaching by extending hand(s) or arm(s) in any direction.
  • Finger dexterity required to manipulate objects with fingers rather than with whole hand(s) or arm(s), i.e.: using a keyboard.
  • Ability to see within normal parameters.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally in person, email and via phone.

Responsibilities:

Provide architectural design for schematic level drawings through construction documents. Provide daily coordination and collaboration with in-house multi-disciplinary design staff and outside consultants for commercial, industrial, and residential building projects.

  • Involvement in all phases of design and leading/assisting with presentation, production drawings, permitting, detailing and project management.
  • Participate in multi-disciplinary design process to ensure compliance with cost, time, quality, and quantity objectives.
  • Maintain high satisfaction of clients through superior service, timely production, prompt responsiveness, and a thorough understanding of client objectives.
  • Familiarity with local building codes, jurisdictions, permitting process and documentation.
  • Work well with team members and be able to take direction and work independently.
  • Provide daily coordination of in-house multi-disciplinary design and drafting staff.
  • Assist with proposals.
  • Drafting of presentations drawings and construction drawings.
