Description:

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of SDLC processes, including agile methodologies (Scrum & Kanban).
  • Manage direct reports including, performance and productivity. Mentor and coach staff with their professional development and define and enforce best practices. Proactively identify and develop training plans for knowledge gaps (technical or business-related) that limit team effectiveness.
  • Should have an automation first and continuous improvement mindset and drive the adoption of CI/CD tools and support the improvement of the toolsets/processes.
  • Actively participate in system design, interface design, validation of technology assumptions, and identification of options, within the framework of our Agile Release Train (ARTs).
  • Accountable for managing the key components in the Evernorth Web & Mobile apps
  • Actively participate in Production Support incident management, L2 and L3 support. Monitor and review incidents reported by business teams.
  • Ensure the efficient operation of the responsible teams through the clear articulation of operating mechanics, architecture health metrics and targets, incident and reporting throughput metrics and targets
  • Become a proactive trusted advisor to business leaders within Care and technology matrix partners.
  • Flexibility to adopt a continuous learning mindset and flex to cover a diverse set of technology needs
  • Technical and marketing skills to craft and execute your own programs and initiatives
  • Operate with a continuous improvement mindset to improve the quality of Dental IT deliverables.
  • Continuously drive improvement and optimization through retrospectives, Inspect and Adopt and stakeholder feedback

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ years of Web application development experience with compiled languages such as Java, Groovy, C#, or Go
  • Strong Experience with Angular 2+, React, React Native or Ember
  • Strong Experience with scripting languages such as JavaScript, Ruby, or Python, Typescript
  • Solid understanding of OOP, Design Patterns, Data Structures and Web Standards
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript, HTML and CSS
  • Experience designing, developing, and supporting technology decisions within various technologies including, JAVA, Structured/Non Structured DB, RESTful/SOA services
  • Experience with developing RESTful web services
  • Strong experience with enterprise level N-tier web applications
  • Experience in writing native SQL queries
  • Relational Database - experience using Oracle, MySQL/MariaDB, Postgres, or SQLServer
  • NoSql Database - DynamoDb, MongoDB, Cassandra
  • Caching - Redis, Memcached
  • Proficiency with cloud infrastructure (AWS, Google App Engine, or Heroku)
  • Proficiency with Agile delivery and the SAFe framework, ideally in-tune with its leverage within a Fortune 500 IT environment
