Description:
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum 2 years previous experience of Management in Homecare/Community settings preferred.
- Minimum QQI Level 5 Healthcare Award essential
- Management course or Business Degree desired but not essential
- Demonstrate a solid knowledge of the health and social challenges facing the elderly.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead and manage all Services within your area.
- Provide guidance and leadership to the team in all correspondence relating to daily operations of the company.
- Be proactive in growing the revenue of the branch by managing the recruitment of carers and the acceptance of new HSE and private clients.
- Manage the start of new Client services from the first point of contact to establishing a quality settled service.
- Liaise with fellow healthcare professionals including HSE management, local PHNs and other professionals in hospital and community settings.
- Engage with the HSE in accepting new client referrals optimising existing carer and office resources.
- Communicate the benefits of service in a professional and reassuring manner to Clients and their families/advocates.
- Ensure tailored Client Care plans in line with company ethos and HSE protocols and guidelines are in place prior to clients commencing the service.
- Manage the start the service for new Clients by matching and introducing Carers with the required expertise and profile by communicating with the Care Co-Ordinator’s
- Manage Client Risk Assessments and oversee handover to the Quality Team
- Proactively engage with the Clinical Lead, HR & Payroll and Quality Team to avoid and/or resolve any service-related issues.
- Support & managing the office team in ensuring that Clients and Carer needs are prioritised.
- Collaborate with Director of Operations in completing monthly and quarterly growth targets and Area KPI deadlines are met.
- Contribute to planning and expansion of Client Services as needed over time.
- Participate in on-call Rota.
- Managing systems to identify complaints, safeguarding concerns, incidents and accidents and quality management to ensure a good quality service is provided.
- Other duties as they arise and relate to stability and growth of the Area.
