ARRAY AND EXPORT CABLE OFFSHORE LOGISITICS & TERMINATION ENGINEER

Are you a highly motivated and experienced logistics professional with a passion for the offshore wind industry?
Our client is a global leader in offshore wind, is seeking a seasoned Array and Export Cables Offshore Logistics & Termination Engineer to join our team in London, UK.
In this critical role, you will be responsible for ensuring the seamless logistics and execution of offshore termination activities for our project. You will act as the single point of contact for all logistical and termination activities, liaising with contractors, supervisors, and internal stakeholders. Your responsibilities will encompass everything from planning and coordination to ensuring the health, safety, and quality of offshore operations.

What you will do:

  • Manage the interfaces between Construction (CON), Export Cable Supply & Termination (ECS+T), and Array Cable Supply & Termination (ACS+T) contractors.
  • Oversee maritime logistics for array and export cable contractors, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements.
  • Champion a safe working environment offshore, implementing lessons learned and ensuring adherence to QHSE protocols.
  • Define package requirements for tendering maritime logistics for ECS+T and ACS+T packages.
  • Coordinate load-out activities with the Offshore Cable Installation (OCI) department, ensuring proper alignment of incoterms, tests, and handover certificates.
  • Manage logistics for delivery of accessories, supervisor mobilization, and crew changes.
  • Lead and organize the Ørsted supervisor/client representative team, including rotation schedules, onboarding, and checklist management.
  • Review logistics plans, installation manuals, and site acceptance test (SAT) documents from both internal and contractor sources.
  • Oversee Non-Conformance Report (NCR) registration and ensure timely progress for deliverables.
  • Facilitate knowledge sharing within the project team.
  • Be responsible for the offshore mobilization of Service Operation Vessels (SOVs), Crew Transfer Vessels (CTVs), and T&T inspectors/supervisors.
  • Act as the first point of contact for all logistical and termination activities at harbors, vessels, and sites.
  • Organize and chair regular logistics interface meetings with contractors and relevant teams.
  • Conduct site visits to locations including South Korea, Taiwan, and others as required by the project.
  • Manage the mock-up trial at the site, ensuring lessons learned are addressed before offshore cable termination.

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

  • Project Management experience (PMI) with a strong understanding of offshore construction management, termination, and testing processes.
  • A structured and analytical approach to problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Full GWO certification (for offshore visits, where applicable).
  • Proven experience with HV/MV cable jointing/termination (including offshore field joints), cable ladder/cleating systems, subsea cable hang-off systems, and earthing/bonding of cable systems.
  • A strong QHSE awareness within the industrial, construction, and offshore sectors.
  • The ability to interpret industry standards, Technical Requirements (TRs), and familiarity with HVC and FOC testing.
  • Experience working with high voltage equipment in array cables, export cables, and associated accessories.
